Synopsis

The Future is female. The series follows the golden generation of German women’s basketball as the national team pursues the World Championship at home—a vibrant, modern summer fairy tale featuring talented, relatable young women who are both role models and activists, and telling inspiring stories of equality, mental strength, and female empowerment alongside thrilling sports drama.

German basketball is more successful than ever: the men are reigning world champions, but it’s the women who are truly on the fast track. Led by exceptional talents and sisters Satou and Nyara Sabally, the women’s national team qualified for the Olympics for the first time ever in 2024, the 3×3 women’s team won gold in Paris, and both Nyara and Leonie Fiebich celebrated victory with the New York Liberty as champions of the WNBA—the best league in the world. Their next spectacular goals are EuroBasket 2025 and, above all, hosting the World Championship at home in 2026.

But these athletes are more than just world-class basketball players—they are role models, influencers, fashion icons, and activists. They fight for equality in sports and inspire the next generation of players to follow their dreams with courage. Women’s basketball in Germany is dynamic, innovative, and more relevant than ever.
