Synopsis

At the age of 15, Joe Marx decides to become a criminal and quickly rises through the ranks as a pimp in Hamburg’s red-light district in the 1980s, until he is suddenly arrested on suspicion of murder. In prison, he makes his first contacts with the Colombian Cali cartel and eventually flees from the German authorities to Colombia. There he meets the top drug lord Gilberto Rodríguez Orejuela, rises in the cartel and marries a Colombian woman from a good family. He is responsible for the distribution of cocaine in Europe and feels untouchable. But Colombia receives international support in the fight against the drug cartels. How long can Joe hide from Interpol? Although he spends over 30 years of his life in prison, he has no regrets. He returns to Germany with his new partner Doris and plans his last big coup…
